Lost my Curl/Dump Loader function DK50SE

I was moving a lot of loads today and suddenly I lost my curl/dump loader function. The bucket is loose and will flop around. When I operate the joystick left and right I can hear it operate like it is dead heading. I decided to disconnect all hoses from the loader block and check for outlet pressure. On all four I get the correct PSI upon moving the joystick. On the third port from right I get pressure but only if I hold it in that position. As soon as I let go of the joystick it returns to zero PSI. The other ports do not return to zero until I move the joystick in the opposite direction. It seems like a lot of air is in the curl/dump cylinders. My hydraulic fluid is full. I have 700 hrs on the tractor. Is it possible I have a broken both cylinders? Any idea as to my next step?

do you have any rear remotes. I had loader issues once when one of my rear remotes accidently locked into detent without being hooked up

I do but they are in the neutral position. I also removed the detents.

I just had an idea and swapped the hoses on the loader block. The left right joystick works since the loader raised and lowered. The forward /back stick did not curl or dump. That tells me it is not in the joystick or loader block. It must be broken cylinders or an obstruction? What do you think?

that is weird. so it lifts and drops using foreward and reverse functions is plumbed correctly, and also lifts and drops using left or right is you swap hoses. I too would assume that the control valves are ok.

i wonder if theres an obstruction in the hydraulic lines going to the bucket curl cylinders. Ive seen cylinders leak in the past, but ive never seen them just stop. nothing is kinked on the cylinder connections i take it

Nothing is kinked. I am going to remove the quick connects on the hoses and check them out.

A bad QD can act like a check valve.

I ended up replacing the qd couplers with new Pioneer ag couplers and it fixed the problem. The funny thing is that I replaced all the loader qd couplers 3 months ago with Discount Hydraulic Hose branded couplers. Not sure why they stopped working already but Pioneer are definitely a much higher quality and made in the USA. I am glad it was a simple fix.

Glad to hear. Its funny but a hydraulic hose shop that uses usa made hose and fittings made my shop air hoses for less money than HomeDepot wanted for chinese junk.
