I have a 2210 and was bushogging my grass today. I decieded to make a few passes in the woods to clean up some under brush, Well a limb must have pulled on my hydro lines under where you rest your foot by the brake petals. There is a section of hose about 4" long, it pulled away from the larger tubing and just then about all the oil leaked out. I now need a new hose. I tried 2 auto parts store and they could not help me. Can I use any hose that is oil rated or do I need a special hose? After I get it back together and I refill it with new hydro oil, do I need to do anything special or I am good to go? At least the tractor is getting fresh hydo fluid.:D

Our NAPA and several other places in town make hydraulic hoses. Just bring your old hose to them and they make one while you wait.

You might want to go ahead and change your hydraulic filter while your oil is empty.

I think what you are describing is a section of hose in the return line. There is no pressure in this line so it doesn't have to be high pressure hose, just some hose that is oil resistant.

While it is empty go ahead and remove the screen and clean it good, saves having to drain fluid and do it later. Then fill with new fluid, JD 303 equivalent, and you should be good to go.

Where is this screen located and if you pull the screen out what kind of gasket does the cover have? Thanks.

I have the hose that fits it.
