Lost my nephew this week

I never saw this one coming. 29 years old and had an asthma attack. He hadn't been taking his meds and didn't have an emergency inhaler. Ended up in cardiac arrest and suffered oxygen deprivation. They removed him from life support on Tuesday after he was determined to be brain dead.

I wasn't there, but our pastor said the actual death was pretty horrific and gruesome. Not the peaceful version we're used to seeing on TV. At least he's with the Lord now and not suffering anymore.

You're not kidding Bird. Dec 11 marked the 1 year anniversary of my Dad's passing and Dec. 19 marks the 1 year anniversary of my uncle passing (mom's brother). I feel bad for my mom, she was having enough trouble coping with the anniversary. Seems like December has something against us.
