My L35 lost it's power to the wheels and steering today. The 3 point hitch and front loader work, albeit a bit slower than normal.

I checked all the hoses and they are secure, I have not lost fluid, the only place I find to be damp is the flexible hose that connects the return pipes in front of the pump. My fluid looks a bit foamy, which I think could be moisture or air from the flexible hose?

My lines are cool, which leads me to believe the pump is the problem. My questions are..

Are there 1 or 2 pumps on this model, and if 2, what does each control?

Does anyone have schematics of what I need to see to remove them? I cannot find any, and my owners manual is no help .

I cracked the lines on the distribution block on the pump on the right side of the block and no fluid came out, is this the problem or could it be from somewhere else and this is just a symptom?

Any help would be appreciated. I don't want this tractor down any longer than it has to be.

You say lost power to steering and wheels is this a hst model. not sure on steering but hst drive is different hyd. than FEL and 3PH.

I don't know about the L35, but on the DK series Kioti's the 2nd section of the hydraulic pump is the steering and also the charge pump for the hydrostat. Not to be confused with the main pump, but the charge pump. So if the L35 is built like my kioti, this could explain it. The loader and the 3pt and any aux. operate off of the main section of the hydraulic pump.

You should be able to lift 1,400 lbs at 24 inches back from the ball ends. Trouble could be an extremely weak spring in the Pressure Relief Valve. do you have a loader or any other hydraulic implement?.. It could also be a defective cylinder in the 3pt or a defective 3pt valve. or yes a defective pump... More testing is needed.

Lift Capacity at Max. Height 1,653 lbs

So you apparently have lost the potential for the hyd components to develop their full pressure.

Could be due to several things. cyl seals, valve spools worn, pump getting weak.

What you really need is a flow and pressure test.
