Lost sight glass Gc 1710 my

I havea gc 1710 that just lost my sight glass. Any suggestions. It is really cold here and it must have built up pressure and popped out the glass.

See if a local dealer has one . Others have somehow glued theirs in.
You should get this moved to the MF area so others see it and update the title to say GC1710.

GC1705 Sight Glass

Has anyone replaced one of these before? It is part number 3606585M1. Mine popped out completely out of the blue. Dealer is saying it just presses in with no glue/epoxy necessary. I thought I'd check here in case someone has done one of these before. I obviously don't want it to pop out again...

Maybe for the time being just scrounge up a rubber plug to stick in there until you get a new site glass.

can make a rudimentary temporary plug by rolling duct tape into a plug shape - taper one end a bit and leave a good amount sticking out so that you can pull it out.

Stuff a cork in it and order a new one. Issue solved temporarily
