Tractorless :(
Been busy this morning moving some brick, bringing firewood up to the house, moving some sand, pine straw bales and skimming some sod for my wife's garden.

Best purchase I've made in a long time. :cloud9:

Yep, totally agree. Great to never use the old wheel barrow. Pulled some stumps yesterday, so much easier than the pick ax and shovel.

We bought our BX2660 in 2008 after using a BX2200 for six years and we just love it. It is really a handy and powerful little tractor. I don't get to use it much anymore since my wife retired as she now refers to it as "her Kubota".

If you get "offroad" you will need to watch out for the tie rod boots. We also found ours worked better for FEL work and had better stability with wheel weights without hurting our lawn; enjoy your tractor.

Oh and they are really easy to service.

Bought mine from Barlows last fall after getting quotes for landscaping. Not sure that it has paid for itself but I like doing the jobs my way. Greenest lawn in the neighborhood has the wife impressed. She also likes mowing.

Agree with Triple about the boots, just ripped mine up doing brush work on my addtl 1.5 acre lot. Reading posts about replacements and preventative measures. Wish I had read those before-hand. First time brushing destroyed the infamous "little plastic fan" before I could order a skid plate (37 hrs in). Now I do most work with the MMM deck on and pay more attention to problem areas.

Yep, I have a little of that planned this spring. I need to lower an area about 4" to fix a drainage problem. Only problem is getting rid of the dirt. I'm thinking of putting an ad on Craigslist for free fill dirt when the time comes. I was going to hire it done, and the only advantage now is that they would haul the dirt off.

Trust me, you won't have any trouble "getting rid" of dirt. We have several hundred acres of land and would jump all over some free dirt.

Ok John, it'll probably be about 3 pickup loads I'm guessing. If you are willing to come pick it up, I am willing to load it for you. If something doesn't change, I'll PM you come March or so with directions. Be nice to meet you anyway. At least I know that the person I'm loading won't be back later to load stuff up for themselves. I'm a little paranoid about stuff walking off after having strangers over.

Over at Arboristsite, we have chainsaw "get togethers" where we compare equipment, have a bite to eat and sometimes cut a load of firewood for a needy family or the host that's feeding us. You guys do anything like that over here? I can see it being a little more complicated with tractors. Hard to throw 5 or 6 in a pickup and head out. LOL

I took the road hazard triangle to a sign shop today and had them put "Ian's 401K" in reflective lettering across the middle.

Reminds me of a boat we use to see on the lake when I was a kid called "Momma's Mink".
