Tractor
200 + Kubota Tractors
After a full year of excellent reports from all our BX owners, we think the BX tractor is as tough as a hammer and a great long term investment for the homeowners.

The comparisons I made last year were based on concerned that an "unproven and USA tested product" could easily be confused with larger/different framed tractors with similar HP ratings. We are very pleased to report the BX has performed better in ALL the average homeowner and light commercial applications than I ever had expected.
I now believe that it will mow right along with any other tractor in the market place with a 60" mid mount mower and outperform most of them.

My advice and comments are now updated and can be found at..http://www.carverequipment.com/loving_the_bx_2200.htm

ps....
Happy Easter to all you fine TBN folks...
It's been a pleasure to visit with you from time-time...

Let's all count our blessings for this great land and the freedoms we all enjoy daily and so often take for granted.

Let's all join in the happiness for the men and women flight crew (and families) coming home from China today.

Our military folks and their families really do pay a tremendous price for the rest of us.

Best wishes,
Steve

Steve; Good write up. You have the fundamentals well laid out, on what ultimate uses to consider, and what to move up to accommodate (<font color=blue> As you tack on the following responsibilities ... you'll need to consider sizing changes.</font color=blue>)

I hope your predictions turn out to be true /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif:
<font color=blue> "last me 20 plus years"
"best future resale/trade-in values"</font color=blue>

Question, the <font color=blue>market leader</font color=blue> statement. Which market is it? Was the BX the highest selling particular model line last year in North America?

<font color=blue>Let's all count our blessings for this great land and the freedoms we all enjoy daily and so often take for granted.</font color=blue> It is bizarre how society often gets wrapped up complaining about what we don't have, rather than being thankful for what we do have. Life could easily be much, much worse. If we tried to enumerate our blessings though, I think the list would be almost infinite. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Roy,

It's all PM, PM, PM.

20 Years for a Kubota?? Piece-O-cake!

I have a 1950 Case DC. Been pushed HARD. No Major breakdowns. 51 years old. Still used to plow (2 bottom 14" moldboard) truck patch and general hauling, sickle bar mowing and log splitting.

A 1955 David Bradley Tri Trac. Been Pushed HARD. (I had to replace the rear tire two years ago) Still used to cultivate 2 acres of truck patch and hill up potatoes. Still going strong. Been PM'd on a regular basis since day one.

A 1976 Sears 10 HP garden tractor. (this is the one that suprised me - I never expected it to last this long) Pushed Hard. Plows snow between outbuildings. For first 20 years mowed 2 Acres, did lots of carting of firewood, Still runs great at 25 years, use it to mow over the garden in fall.

I can't comment on the design durability of the first two, in relation to Kubotas, but I know the Sears is nowhere near the quality of the Kubota, and if I got 25 years (plus) outta that, I'm guessing (again with proper PM) the Kubota's will most likely outlast you or I!
