They should be the same if they're the same as the other Yanmars. I believe one has the temp light sender in it? If so use the other side if you can.

I have a 2520 that I will adding a heater soon. I have question about the supply line hookup.

What side of the thermostat housing did you tap into? It looks like you tapped into the drivers side near the alternator.

I bought the Curtis adapter and their manual shows it hooked up on the opposite side. I don't know if it makes any difference but the drivers side might be the suction side of the water pump. Just a thought for you to consider. Can you post a picture of your hookup at the thermostat?

Here's a few pics of a 2305. Jodale-perry cabs gives an adaptor for the sending unit, you can see in the pics.

Update on Cab Heat. We finally got some snow here in Southwest Ontario and I was able to give the 2520 with Jodale Perry it's first real trial run with 4" of snow.

I was in sweat pants, tee shirt and a light fleece sip up sweater which was un zipped with sleeves rolled up before long and I had to lower the heat down from full temp for the first time.

Basically, I didnt use a thermometer or let it run at PTO RPM as per the Jodale Perry Manual and my body was the natural thermometer that said it was hot in there. No fogging of windows or nothing. It was great cleaning snow without being wrapped like an eskimo, nice and warm and listening to music while doing so.

A quick thanks to all the guys that helped with this. You were right that the machine needs to be working a bit to really heat up and kick some nice heat out.

Okay, pics will be coming soon, I've been offline for a while because my computer was down.

Thanks,

mario

congrats on getting everything going good. im getting my curtis cab next week i cant wait, tired of being an eskimo. did you do anything like covering the holes in the floor where the f/r pedals and brake pedal are so it would not let cold air in?

Good advice, And don't forget the DCA/SCA also...

There is a additive that is put into the coolant of diesel engines to protect against cavitation.

Not if you use CoolGard or another diesel coolant like Fleetcharge, etc....

The cab came with thick rubber floormats that are precut and make a great fit. The only spot you see any open holes is around the hydro pedals and its only about 1" x 1/2". I thought it would be an issue but it's not.

Today I was doing same pretty major snow and after about an hour of working the 2520 I found myself turning the heat off, down to just a tee shirt and opened the two side vent windows because I was overheating. I'm not worried about those small holes anymore.

Good luck on the cab...

Mario,

I am interested in a Jodale Perry cab for my JD2520. Could you tell me how high the entire machine is with the cab? ( with or without an amber beacon). I have 8' x 10' garage doors, but they are "arched". So the actual clearance is 84". Can I continue to hope for a Jodale Perry cab? , or will I need to settle for something else, ...is my question.
Thanks,
Larry in North Dakota
