I've seen the suggestion that a rubber chair/table leg tip could be used to keep dirt out of the ends of the hydraulic hoses on the 425 (for the attachments) that are not in use; here is the specific info about the ones I found that work well.
The diameter is 1-1/8", and I bought them at Walmart for $1.97 for a blister pack of four.
They are labeled 'SoftTouch by Waxman', with the number 4417 in the upper left-hand corner.
They are white, which makes them easier to find when I drop them. (Except, of course, in the snow!)
