Low, low mileage....change oil or not?

Change it if you want but I really believe its still good. More engines are probably ruined by incorrect oil changes then not changing often enough. I've heard of oil plugs left out , oil not filled , gasket on filter doubled or left off or other issues. Oil made in the last three years is full of additives. No comparison to oils from decades ago.

Change it period. I think every body has weighed in on this one though.

Do as you like.

But as in your experience on your tractor that "black" oil may and is still good but why not just change it. Clean oil cant hurt it. And even though it suspends carbon, that carbon is not a frition modifier. My point is that just cause you have not hit 3000 or 7500 mile or what ever i would change it. I dont think $40 a year to do 2 oil changes a year is going to break you.

And the old oil is recycled into things like new oil or plastics or burned as fuel, its not wasted.

Soundguy, my 4 1/2 year old Blackberry 8330 is a dino by cell standards but it still has effective spell checking. I never use it for TBN but if I did odds are it would do quite well at spelling. Problem with mobile devices seems to be on many the screens are so small it's hard for our aging eyes to catch errors. I keep resisting the change to a bigger screen Android device because I love the keyboard on mine.

i browse thru a regular browser window.. no spell checker.. but that's not the issue.. it's the dern lil keyboard.. that and the smll screen.. and my glasses.. if I stare at 1 spot too long it starts to melt.. if I look down, ants instinctively scatter.. ;) that's how thick the lenses are.. :)
