Since I joined here back in 06 when I bought the 145, I thought I would give an update on it.It currently has 143 hours on it.
It has been a GREAT tractor for mowing a 1 acre yard. Last week I did a complete tune up and today I am draining the K46 tranny and replacing it with 5w50 synthetic.
The oil that came out looked black but there was almost NO metal on the fill plug magnet.
I just touched up the deck with POR15 and JD yellow, and satin black pulley covers.
The two complaints I have is the plastic bushing that hold the steering wheel (which need replacing) and the bushings for the front wheels(update to bearings later).
For a tractor that is supposed to last only 5 or 6 years, mine is running great and does a great job at mowing the lawn.
For other duties, snow blowing, rototilling or blade work I have a 93 Wheelhorse 314-8.
