I printed this page from TSC: Poulan® Pro PP 5020 AV 20 in. Chainsaw - Tractor Supply Co.
TSC has the same price in-store until January but they don't have any in-stock. When I asked they said they should get more in.

Anyhow I brought the printed page into Lowes and they matched the price plus an additional 10% off plus I get 5% off using my Lowes credit card. 179.99 x .9 x .95 = 153.89.

I erased some of my savings with a $25 replacement warranty that extends the 2 year factory warranty to 4 years. Service was great and they honored the discount no questions asked so i thought I would throw them that bone.

Also brought in the print ad for this turkey cooker which came to $76.94 with discounts. Academy - Char-Broilｮ The Big Easy Oil-less Propane Turkey Fryer

I haven't fired up either item yet.

I bought that saw at TSC last week on sale and I'm happy with it so far as I'm only a once in awhile cutter.

Did you find it to be the exact saw at both places because my local Jonsered dealer's models were higher tech than the ones at TSC and understandably at higher prices.

I also like the Lowes Veteran discount of 10% off entire purchase price. Home Despot will only discount prices up to $1500 total, I never understood that rational.

Be careful with Poulans -- they are no longer a reputable saw brand, sadly. I grew up using Poulans and still have a 1972 model that runs well. But nowadays they are Poulans in name only. There are several brand names under the Husqvarna fold that make cheap low-end box store saws. That includes the cheap Jonsered saws at TSC. You definitely get what you pay for in this price range.

I've fried several turkeys in peanut oil, but sold my turkey fryer in a garage sale last Spring. I've not used one of the oil-less fryers myself, but I've eaten turkey from one that my son-in-law cooked in that Char-Broil oil-less and it was very good.

Yea, if I was a serious user cutting wood to heat, I would spend a minimum of 4-500 for a Jonsered but for the few trees I cut down a year, I should be OK with a lower grade model. Thanks

I have bought from Lowes with them honoring price match. Several years ago, I was considering purchasing a boat cover. Found a good price at Wal-Mart and went to Kmart to look at same cover. Kmart was higher priced but I had several items in my cart and was closer to home. Kmart called to get a price but would NOT honor their policy of price match, even though it was only a small amount ??? They could not tell me why so I left the items in cart and went back to Wal-Mart and purchased all items.
Never went back to Kmart again.
