LS 5030 vs 5020 manuverability & running a chipper

Hello...I'm trying to decide between the 5020 and 5030 open station. I use the tractor in the woods and maneuverability is important to me. Can anyone comment on how the 5020 and 5030 compare in terms of turning radius and getting around tight spots?

Would either of them have trouble running a 6" chipper? My MF1533 isn't up to the task and I want to make sure the next tractor is...

Well with the tractors basically being the same tractor other than power, I would guess that they are going to be very very close to each other.

Go to the LS website and take a look.

They also have slightly different loaders, I believe the 5020 actually has the stronger of the two (IIRC)

The odd thing about the specs is that the wheelbase on the 5030 is 4" longer than the 5020 but the overall length is the same. It made me wonder if that's a typo, I would've thought the overall length would've increased with the longer wheelbase.

If they really are the same length, then I'd agree they should be have a pretty similar turning radius.

I contacted LS and they said the 5020 has a 10.4 ft turning radius (w/brakes) but wasn't sure about the 5030. I'll post the info when they get back to me.

My dealer told me that essentially they were the same tractor with the 30 having a bit more power that one wouldn't notice. He also didn't have any 30s in Stock, so I got the 20 and it has done everything I need so far including loading/unloading 1900lb pallets with ease.
