LS G3033H questions

Hi,

I'm considering buying a 2014 LS G3033H with low hours. I've searched the forums and online, and I still have some questions:

1. Does it have a Tier 4 compliant engine?

2. Are there any known issues that I should check for, such as the jerky 3-pt on Kubota L series?

3. Can it handle a 6' rotary cutter? I'm sure a 5' would be a better fit, but I already have a 6'.

#2 if you order parts the Koreans us as you face the tractor for lt or rt. Check all the clamps and fittings

my 2018 is a tier 4, but if it's the regen stuff he's worried about, that goes by kilowatts, which is then translated to HP. I'm wondering what the HP rating for that 3033 is? 33? I believe anything over 25 is required to regen or have the extra 'catalytic' converter type of exhaust. One of the main reasons (besides only owning a couple of acres) I stayed with the 25 HP

as for pulling the bush hog, I know my whole life I was always told 5 PTO hp per foot of bush hog. That seems to really not matter as much with the electronically controlled PTO now. I run a 5 ft with my 24.4 hp tractor with 19.2 hp PTO. If that 3033 is 30 or 33 hp, OP shouldn't have any trouble with a 6'

30 is the class the last 2 are horsepower.

As there is a drop in horsepower to the PTO, it is an H, I think it will run the 6 foot but 5 would work a lot better. Would not want to put in 5 foot grass.

I bought my at Haney equipment up in Athens close to Huntsville ut live in Thomaston Ga about an hour northwest of of the stateline

The G30XX series tractors are tier 2. There never were any tier 3 engines below 75 hp (source is EPA website) unless the manufacturer used some of the obscure options available under the regulations. These tractors have no computer or exhaust after treatment.

Your 3025 is not listed on Tractor Data so I don't know which engine it has. Does it have exhaust after treatment?

The PTO hp on the G3033 is 26hp. A little under the recommended 5 hp per foot of implement but I'd go ahead and run your 6 foot implement and see how it does.

mine has the tier 4 mitsubishi S3L2 engine. No after exhaust emissions stuff. I'm sure at one time, his '30xx are tier 2' statement is correct, but as the regs changed over the last few years, so did the engines.

if he's saying there's no computer, then they must have physically done something to these to make them under 25 hp, and I'm very curious as to what that might be piston size? valves? fuel injection?


as per the '5hp per ft' rule, by that, at 19.2 PTO hp, I wouldn't be able to run the 5 ft bush hog I have, but I've put probably half the hours on my tractor bush hogging, and most of it was chest high or there abouts. If he's 26 PTO hp, and it's the electronically controlled PTO, he should be able to run that 6'. now since he said this was a 3033H, the hydrostatic drive units typically have a few less PTO hp.....
