Hello, I'm trying to figure out what I need to properly install some rear remotes on my tractor. LS has their own kit (Part# 20145001) but no dealer around me has it or they just can't order it. I found one near but they wanted $1400! New Holland has similar tractor kits but when I look up their catalog seems like their Dual Rear Remote Kit (Part# MT20139104) is actually just the upgrade the parts from a single remote (Part# MT20145001) to dual remote. Price for both would be roughly $1680! Because of those ridiculous prices I'm going to install some aftermarket valves instead.
I was looking at some control valves from Summit. Their diagrams show a line going to tank. The OEM remote kit has a "return to sump" (Simply Country calls it that in their installation video, different tractor model but same kit) pipe #12 in the diagram, its just goes into a smooth hole at the top of the tank. There is another drain line that connects near the bottom, the Front Loader valve connects there but the OEM kit does not connect to that.
Where should I connect the "Line to Tank" of the Summit Control Valves; The top where the OEM kit connects or the bottom where the Front Loader drain connects.
The top drain is just a hole without threads with a rubber cap, roughly 5/8" diameter. I have no clue how to connect to it, the kit uses a rigid pipe with a smooth nipple and O-ring. Maybe a PB sleeve would fit snuggly in there?
The bottom drain connection uses rigid piping with banjo fittings.
Thank you.
