I received the following filters from my dealer (all of which are ls genuine parts)
oil - p/n 40409065
hydro - p/n 40347274
hydrostat - p/n 40007563
the hydrostatic filter would not go on. I call the dealer, they assure me I have the right part.
I try it again, no dice. I get the calipers out and sure enough, there is about 1/4” difference in the inside diameter of both hydrostatic filters (old to new).
I drive up to the dealership, she looks it up again and says there are two part numbers for that filter, the correct filter number for me was: 40383187, which is a Donaldson branded Duramax filter and it’s actual part number on the filter is P164381
by the way, you will need a device such as this to get the one filter off, it’s a monster to get off:
