LS Tractor & New Holland model equivalents

Hi Folks, I'm seeing lots of talk and confusion over which New Holland Boomers match up to which LS models, so thought I'd start a thread to hopefully clear things up.

But first....
New Holland does NOT build tractors for LS Tractor USA....it's the other way around.... LS builds tractors that New Holland rebrands and sells in the USA.

NH = LS
Boomer 20 = J2020H
Boomer 25 = J2030H
Boomer 30 = R3039* w/ 28.5hp engine from older I3030
Boomer 35 = R3039
Boomer 40 = R4041
Boomer 50 = R4047

*The R3039 is an updated version of of the 2009-2010 I3040 (new hood cosmetics, fender-mounted joystick, telescoping lift arms). There was also an I3030 with all the same features as the I3040, but a lower output 28.5hp 4cyl Mitsubishi motor. In 2011 LS updated the I3040 to the R3039, but decided not to carry forward with an updated I3030 or "R3029".... they do still make it for New Holland however, and that's the Boomer 30.

For me , biggest factor in buying a tractor is dealer/parts support. My father statrted with fords 60 plus years ago because the nearest dealer was only 5 miles away. The nearest Ford/New Holland dealer is now 50 miles away, but stillthe closest dealer of all the major brands. Not much farm activity in Mass. so tractor/feed/vet. support is difficult.

I am curios , I have a LS R 4047 , and a new holland dealer close by , would new holland do any warranty repairs on my LS since its basically a boomer 50 ???

I hate to revive an old thread, however there is enough good info in it.
I have updated prodaddyTX's original list to include the most recent models. If you know of any more cross references please add them.

Boomer 20 = J2020H

So I'm curious. Are the tractors exactly the same except for paint? Or is the sheet metal and fenders and options different? Are there other differences? I just got the XR4046 and I'm curious why there are a lot of warning lights on the dash not used. Wondering if maybe New Holland uses them?

Same with my XR3037HC. Lots of dash indicators but many do not function. Wish I had the computer interface to see if they could be activated. Maybe the dash is used in another tractor, maybe for export.
Differences between LS and NH, Case, MF, include sheet metal, such as hood and grill, fenders, etc . but many engines are the same. Neighbor has a MF 1734E which has the same Shibaura engine as mine.

I have not had any need for dealer service yet. When I was looking, I talked to a guy at Arentsen. Honestly, I didn't get a good feeling from him, so I bought elsewhere. He is the closest LS dealer, but he seems like more of a dairy equipment dealer who also sells a tractor now and then. When we talked, we weren't more than 5 minutes into the conversation when he started laying conditions on me regarding service. He made it very clear that he will only service tractors he sells. I didn't stay long after that.

I have no idea how good he is on service if you buy from him. He did give me a very good price quote for the XR3135HC, though, so whatever he quoted you is likely more than reasonable (probably as a result of his not having to make a living off of tractor sales).
