kubota L3010 GST
Ive got an L3010 GST. I bent the left side steering linkage(tierod ?).I took a measurement and the length is~24".Took a measurement from an L4200 and it was the same. The parts are listed as different.Would anyone mind listing their model and the length they measured? The reason i`m asking is because the part i need is out of the country but if i can use one from a different model, why not! Thanks in advance,Mike

Can't the tie-rod be straightened at least until the new one arrives. If you are willing to pay a little extra you should be able to have that tie-rod in 3 days.

Depends on cost and how easy it is to check? Just replaced a fuel cap on a B7001 grey with a new one that was a different number and slightly smaller in size. Fitted OK with the help of a bit of petroleum jelly. Many of these tractors have been around for a decade or more with production runs extending over several years as well. A small change in the parts will lead to allocation of a different number. If your dealer is willing to send it back if it don't fit then you have nothing to lose by trying the available tie rod end out.

Brian, that particular part that i need is out of stock in the whole USA/w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif.I`ve had it straightened once but its already starting to bend again.Parts guy said it could be 2 weeks if they put a rush on it.I wanted to find out if i could use one from another model.Thanks,Mike.

It seems strange to me that it would take 2 weeks. I'm getting parts from Japan in 3 days using what Kubota calls Omnistar. Ask your dealer about it or try another dealer.

Mike,
Take a long piece of 1" angle iron and weld it to the tie rod shaft over the bend. I had this on my old Oliver, its the way I got it and was that way when I sold it! This will get you by untill you get the new one.
