Have any of you guys used this blade? It looks like a low lift blade designed more for my needs. My needs being the ability to cut through taller grass at decent speed. Taller being 10" at the highest. This is due to my neighbor only wanting me to cut his yard once every two weeks. Even at once a week in my yard i'm not really impressed with the 3 in 1 blades that came with my 1050's 50" deck. The deck always clogs at the top around the diameter of the blades where it appears the wings of the 3 in 1 blades are throwing grass.

Well the stock blade appears similar to the non-heavy duty version of the above part number so now i'm lost lol. Guess the easiest thing to do is call one of these blade retailers to discuss my needs. Will report back with what I find out!

Look at the gator blades; they may make a set for your 50" deck. I never have owned a set, but I know a few landscape companies that love them.

I have looked into them a little bit via searching hear and looking at pics. I think they'd work better then the stock blades as the fins seem to direct grass back up and over the blade instead of up against the inside of the deck. But in searching the larger machine guys seem to say thay are not for removing much grass at a time which is why I shy away from them. Makes sense as the wings would continually recycle the clippings and with tall grass they could get jammed up i'm thinking. I haven't really been able to find anything that's almost flat for this mower through my limited searching. Like I said i'm going to call in one of these places and see what I can find.

Well doesn't look like anything else is available except the stock blade or the gator blade so maybe I'll try the Gators!!! For anyone interested for the star hole spindle the Oregon Part # is 91-938

good luck; did you talk to a CC dealer; CC makes a flat blade for the 50" mower.

No I didn't Dave, I did search my *** off online and found that the blades are very limited for the star pattern 50" deck (17.9" length like stock) unless I missed something.

They may not have the design you are looking for but it would be worth a phone call to a nearby CC dealer. My 50" did not have the star center hole.

I have had the same problem with the deck on my LT1050 clogging. Wet type weedy plants seem to stick under the deck. I am not sure changing blades would solve that problem. Anyway, this spring I removed the deck and cleaned underneath really good and then sprayed the underside of the deck with a spray product that I purchased at TSC. I have not had any clogging so far this year. This has been worth the effort for me.
