I was cutting grass when my mower just stopped.I have cut for about 5hrs this season.

I have replaced the spark plug
I have gas getting to the carb
I have a Kohler Courage 19 engine
There is no gas getting to the spark Plug (best as I can tell)
I am thinking safety switch or I have read be fly wheel key could be sheared.

How do you check safety switches and how do you check the key

If I am in the wrong forum please tell me or maybe the moderator could move me to the correct one. I'm a newbie and learning my way around

might try spraying a shot or 2 of rattlecan carb cleaner (NO ETHER!!) down the carb throat after removing the air cleaner. Quickly hop in the seat and try to start (clutch pedal fully depressed and PTO off).. If engine pops and tries to start, then fuel delivery problem. start by loosening the fuel tank fill cap, then replace fuel filter with OEM type. if no luck, remove fuel line from carb - crank engine - see if fuel is pumped out into a con or jug. If no fuel, prolly failed fuel pump. If fuel flows OK, then check function of carb afterfire solenoid (must retract with '"click" when ign turned on - solenoid sometimes loses 12 volt power). OTW, pull/clean carb.
If engine does NOT "pop" when carb cleaner is sprayed into carb, chk ignition sys, including possibility of flywheel key sheared. Make sure to use torque wrench when re-assembling flywheel.
Still trouble, post back with latest findings for more help from forum.

I tried the carb cleaner. No pop no starting.
I pulled the spark plug and grounded it there was a spark not real strong but it was sunny out.
