I have cut grass twice now since doing the engine swap in my cub, and oh my what a difference it is like a brand new machine. Smoother quieter. For any one out there looking at buying a new or used lawn tractor, especially in the entry level home owner big box store machines. If your budget allows it for heavens sake at least get a twin cylinder engine, it will pay for itself in the long haul in less wear and tear on the rest of the tractor because it is a smoother running engine, will last longer, and is more versatile. My original sv kohler courage engine never ran as smooth as this kohler cv22s command, even when it was new, it also was not as quiet and it had one less cylinder. I can see now why I was replacing other parts on the tractor that I may have not had to due to vibration, hood cracking at the hinges, head light bulbs constantly burning out, loose bolts ect. I've learned my lesson.
