Misplaced the owners manual. When I replace the air filter km11013-7047, does the filter go in dry or does it need to be oiled?
Grease fittings, this mower is 3 months old and at 25 hours the grease fittings are terrible. How do you deal with them, replace with threaded ones or use the push in type it came with?

1. manuals - get full model #/serial # off plate located in cavity under tilting seat. go to website: PDF Manual Web Archive - download owners manual and engine manual if listed. Air filter info s/b in those docs.
2. Zerks - Some yrs back MTD and some of the other major OEM's went to those "push-in" grease zerks - prolly as a cost savings. IMHO, they don't cut the mustard. Too many of them pull out when one tries to disconnect the grease gun. Since yer machine is under warranty, I would have the dealer to replace. Converting to an aftermarket threaded zerk does require a somewhat special tap; ya gotta worry about steel shavings being ingested to the very joint you are trying to keep clean/lubed; ad nauseum. I'm not even sure that the pressed type zerk factory machined holes are OK as a pilot hole dia for a tap... mebbe some of the other posters on this forum can chime in on their experiences/solutions..?
