Barn is partly for Kudzu control.

I have 40 acres in Kudzu on 160 acre property.

I am in the early stages of planning a 24 x 40 pole barn. Did you buy the lumber from a pole barn company, or did you just plan it and buy it from a local supplier? What kind of roofing / siding are you using?
There is a metal roofing supplier not far from me and they told me they would like to bid all of the material for my barn.

Local lumber company provided concrete wood and metal for siding and roof. I will make one last run to the lumber co to get siding and plywood. I had the job bid between two companies and went with the lowest bid.

Holes for poles are 3 ft deep in concrete. Floor is dirt.

That should be a concern. I don't believe regular treated lumber from a store will work for long term ground contact, unless it specifically says it will.:thumbsup:
