Backhoe LW-6 or TC-6 backhoe

LW-6 or TC-6 backhoe
Anybody have any experience with one of these? I'm looking for a inexpensive backhoe and have seen these on a few sites. I was thinking I would fabricate a sub frame for one being that they are 3-point. If any dealers have any in stock let me know.

Jim, I have one on my TaskMaster 432 and it works like a charm. I've only dug a few holes with it, but I can tell you, it is very responsive, so much so I find I have to keep telling my self to be light on the touch. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

jim - i've never had any experience with the 3-point mounted hoes, just always kinda scared me i guess. i have always and still sell the yw-06, frame mounted hoes. matter of fact, just came in from garage, getting ready to mount one on a 284. they are designed to fit right on when mounted with a chinese loader, but a minor modification and minor welding is needed when mounted with koyker. i do have 2 in stock, will sell one if interested. ricksauto@dbscorp.net

You have the 6 model? Does it have a auxilary hydraulic fluid tank on it? Or does the hookups from the tractor go directly to the valves? If a person wanted to run it from a PTO pump I wonder how much more hardware it would take other than a pump....

Jim, yes I have the LW-6 model. You can order the BH with the optional pump and tank, I didn't on advice from the dealer. I think he said about $900-1000 more (could be wrong) and that the tractor hydraulics would work just fine, and they do! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif FYI, I have been advised by many dealers to not use the BH without a sub-frame, too much stress on the middle of the tractor without the sub-frame.

Do you have a subframe? Do you know what GPM your tractor puts out?

Jim, yes I have the sub-frame on my tractor. I'll try and post pictures tomorrow. I have two hydro pumps on the tractor, not sure which one this is attached to. However the stats are 6.3gpm and 9.6gpm. I suspect it's attached to the 9.6.
