I have a JD LX280 mower. It will run about 20-30 min and then just die. We have changed the fuel pump, the carb needle, the spark plug, gas cap and the battery. I have a large amount to mow and can't even get it to start now. Any ideas? This has been going on since last summer, we started out by changing the battery and fuel pump. Then this summer it continued to do the same thing, so I ordered a new gas cap. Still had the same problem. My dad came over and looked at it for me, he thought the carb needle might be sticking so he showed me how to take the bowl off the carburetor and check the needle and kinda flick the "white round" thing (sorry I don't know what it is called) to make sure the needle wasn't stuck. I would also blow on the fuel lines when I did this as well. Whenever, I would do this routine it would run for about an hour and then die. So I ordered a carb kit and we replace the needle only. It still dies and will not run. I have taken the hose off the back side of the fuel pump and when I try to start it the gas flows through the pump fine.
I am at my wits end trying to get this mower to run. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
