Hi guys! Recently saw a maxxum 125 loader for sale not to pricy down the road. Been willing to upgrade the loader on my IH 844-S witch has a new engine (not rebuilt) and works great and is just the right size for our hay operation (mostly used for loading round bales). The problem is, I 'm wondering if a loader can be "too big" for a tractor... The IH weight about 8500 pounds while the maxxum 100 is about 11000 pounds. However, those new "cheaper" if I may say loaders must not be that heavy compared to the one on the IH.
The other problem I have is that I would like to install down pressure on the loader as the loader i currently have does not have any. Any advices? Does the pump need to be changed? Or just the regulating valves?
Thanks for any input!!!
