The LX2610 (and presumably 3310) have a tilt steering wheel with a pedal to set the position and to release the wheel to the farthest forward position when pressing the pedal without holding the wheel.

On my new LX2610, I'll be driving along and the wheel will snap forward as if I hit the pedal. It's happened enough that I've been watching and can 100% verify my left foot was nowhere near the release pedal. The most common time I've had it happen is when working the loader with snow plow, lifting and reversing from pushing snow into a bank.

Hopefully there is something that just needs adjusting. I haven't yet seen an exploded view of the mechanism to see how the latching mechanism works (or is supposed to work). Has anyone else had this issue with the LX?

My B2650's tilt mechanism took a while to "loosen in" as I used it over the first year or so. It was also not holding 100%, and occasionally still pops out of position. I've gotten into the habit of lifting the floor lever a bit with my toe when setting it, and push and pull a bit on the steering wheel to make sure it's set solid. It did improve with usage and time.

This is a VERY annoying problem with my LX2610. I have the belly mower and the steering pops out of position constantly when I mow. No more than about 30-seconds ever goes by between it popping out of position while mowing, especially on less than smooth ground. I briefly looked at the entire mechanism and see no adjustment. It appears the issue is that there is enough flex in the entire setup that it can simply pop out of the indentation that holds it in position. It's shocking that this defect somehow made it to production. I haven't had time to get back into it and figure out a potential solution, but will keep monitoring forums and will share anything I find or figure out.

This was one of the items my dealer addressed when they had the tractor back at the shop to deliver the last attachment I’d ordered. They did something to the spring, and now it stays put, and pressing the pedal does not cause the wheel to snap up. I actually press the pedal, then push the wheel up and release the pedal. It stays put wherever I’ve set it now. I think the original spring was just a wee bit to strong.
