Hello all. I am going to look at a 2000 LX277 all wheel steer in the morning. It has 370 hours, and 42c deck. I have seen video of it running today, and it appears to run good. It isn't clean as it was put away dirty, but from what I can see by my inspection of the video, no evidence of any oil leaks. The hood is cracked on the top, but I am not concerned about that as I can get a new one for $157 with shipping.
The seller was asking $1500. I offered him $1200 cash, because I am driving a ways to go see it (3hrs+). Provided that everything is as I believe it is, is that a good price? From what I have seen in my research on Machinefinder, for an AWS with that many hours, it seems like I would be getting a pretty good deal. Of course, this is all dependant on no hidden issues.
I really would like a 48" deck, but I have a line on a deck at the local dealer that would swap with some cash the 42 for the 48. I have seen this deck, and it is on a LX188 that they sunk a bunch of money into only to have the tranny blow.
Thanks for the info!
