I have a 1997 LX885 that recently started to give me some fits. The left side drive (left sitting in seat) will remain in forward even if you pull the stick all the way back. The linkage and neutralizer all appear correct and when engaged in drive or reverse the unit works fine, no noise, and you can regulate the speed with the stick, until it gets stuck in drive. Seems to be worse when the unit warms up. Motor mounts appear to be in good shape, and not much "slop" in the linkage. No debris around controls. Any clues where to check next? I would appreciate any help. This is and has been an extremely good machine. Very few problems over the years.
