m/f 1260 advise

my M/F 1260 idles fine but when put into gear it dies.any advise to my problem?

We could probably troubleshoot your problem better with a little more info.. Will the tractor engine rev up beyond idle when you increase throttle (in neutral)? Does it immediately die when the tractor is in gear and you let the clutch out? Has the tractor been running normally, or have you been noticing an oncoming problem?

yes it does rev up in idle when throttle is increased in neutral, and it does immediately die when the tractor is in gear and you let out the clutch. have not noticed any problems up to this point. thank you

My first check would be the operator presence switch, (seat switch), Lift up the seat and make sure the wires running to the switch are in good condition, no breaks bad spots etc.., If they are in good shape unplug the switch and run a jumper wire across the terminals (tractor side of plug, not seat) then start it up and put in gear and see what happens.
