The Kubota owner's manual for our M7040 recommends a max of a 3x16" moldboard plow. Has anyone used a 3x16" on an M series? How about a 4x16"? I think the 3 bottom would work better in our application but 4 bottoms seem to be more readily available and cheaper in our area.

Any advice on going with a 3pt or semi mounted plow would be appreciated.
Plowing about 10 acres of loamy soil that goes from semi flat to 5-8degrees of slope on a side hill.

Alot depends on the ballast as to which one and if it will! I'd be looking at the 4-16" bottom semi mounts and you will need front weights and possibly rear ballast.

After reading the next post I see how your ractor is laid out. Go with the 4-16" bottom and jsut leave the loader on for front ballast and you will be fine.

The only plus to the three bottom might be the width you needed or turning radius on head lands.

Thank you for the reply. I am also in CNY. We have plenty of turn around room and I am not too worried about width.
