I bought my M105X new a bit over 3 years ago. I use it on the farm to move large round bales, snow removal, hauling manure, etc. Now it has developed a cracking noise in the right front drive hub area, almost sounds like a dry bearing going bad, but the oil is right where it should be. It only makes the noise with a large round bale on the loader, no noise when driving empty. Anybody had any experience with this???

I would check this:

The 6 bolts that hold the front wheel to the rim will make a crackling, squeeky sound if they aren't torqued real tight. The wheel flexes under heavy load against the lugs on the rim making the noise. I only noticed it under heavy loading or sharp turning. The bolts have a round stove bolt head and a hex nut.
To figure out what the noise was I had to have a friend drive the tractor back and fourth while I walked along side and listened.
I had to tighten mine with a long breaker bar.
Let me know if this is your problem. Good luck.

I checked the bolts as I thought that maybe that was the cause but they are tight, but will re-check them with the weight off the tires and see if that makes a difference. Will let you know.

Just re-torqued the wheel nuts with the wrench that came with the tractor then got out the 3/4 in. air wrench and gave them a little more, and guess what, no more cracking, I had the wife walk along side and nothing. I re-torqued all the front wheel nuts so I hope to be good to go.

Thanks for the tip!

Glad to hear that you got it figured out. Little noises can drive you crazy. ;)
