I prefer buying from a company someone has had a good experience with. Of course prices is always a factor, too.

Saying that
I live in California, but I have yet to find a resonable priced dealer.

I travel to and from Wyoming all the time, thus this opens up my purchase possiblities.

1st What should I pay for a M5040 with Cab, Hydro Shuttle Option, Ag Tires?

2nd These are the state I can easily travel to make a purchase>>
California
Nevada
Arizona
Texas
New Mexico
Utah
Colorado
Wyoming
Ideo
South Dakota
Nebraska
Oklahoma

Those states are well within my range. I hope someone out there has worked with some reasonably price dealer that actually care about their customers in one of these states. It looks like most of the good dealers are more east.

Thanks for your time.

Chuck

Can you get to Missouri? I can give you a couple of good ones, one in S.W. Missouri and one outside of St. Louis. I would imagine that $30,000.00 with a loader would be a terrific price, if you don't need a loader, subtract it from that price. I am not really sure you can buy one for that price, but I have been really close. Bob

Try Zimmerer Kubota or Deen Implement in Texas. Both are excellent dealers and have web sites.

Are you getting 4WD?
According to your profile you have 4 acres. Is that true? Not that I have a problem with using an M5040 on 4 acres!:D
Make sure you think about the fact that your dealer is more than someone to get the tractor from. You are going to have to have someone to do warranty service and provide you with parts.
Also, think about delivery charge and factor that into the price. I'm sure it's not free to ship a tractor across the country.
I have no idea if California has any kind of special emissions regulations on tractors and if they do if a tractor bought out-of-state would comply with those regulations.

These are just a few things I thought of that I would pass on. Just something to think about.

That's a great tractor you're planning on getting there!!;)

Glowplug:

Ya, it would be 4 wheel drive.

Recently we purchased more land thus that why the difference.

Delivery charge is not a problem as I would plan on picking it up at the dealer.

Regarding out of state>>I don't think there is emissions regulation on tractors. But I might be wrong. Maybe someone else will know that answer.

I know for a fact with cars it a big issue. Been there done that.
