I have a 2012 M59 that I purchased new. The day it was delievered I never really done much on a TLB so I never knew the performance and how the hydraulics were suppose to be strength, speed etc.... I posted a while back questioning my Backhoe boom swinging left to right. It has never been really good, and slowly went to nothing and I'm right at 100 hrs. I contacted a few dealers and even asked a question on here what could be the problem. It was anything from both cylinders were bad from the factory to trash in the hyd oil. etc... I just never thought something could be wrong mechanically, I finally got in touch with the owner of the dealer where I perchased the tractor from and as I explained the problem he asked me to walk to my tractor. He explained if I lift the metal floor board on the back of my tractor where the 3 pt hitch would be I would see two levers one on each side left and right. He told me to pull them all the way out and push them back in firmly to be sure they were completed engaged. He wasn't sure which lever did what so he asked me to do both with the engine off. I will have to tell you, one of these levers has been slightly disengaged since the tractor was delivered to the house with 1 hr on the meter. I have learned to work the back hoe perfectly before, but now I'm having to relearn again as I feel I have a totally different tractor. The strength of the hyd now compared to before is night and day. Its strong enough to move the tractor around where before it was not, it had be helped. The flow of Hyd fluid was trying to flow to the 3 pt hyd as well as the backhoe as well. The tractor has never run better no noise in the HST like before even. That being said, I hope no damage has been caused with that lever being slightly disengaged? Sorry for the long write up, but its amazing to me this was fixed over the phone after me even reading my owners manual and not even thinking of this. I called numerous dealers and they wanted me to just drive it in. This owner of this dealership actually told me not to bring it in until we go over a few things first, just made me feel like he had time again just as he did when he sold me the tractor. I will have to say, I will be back to him even if its costs me more in the end. Which he beats everyone on price and even hourly rate than any other dealer, that is why I purchased this from him to start with.

Very good to hear your story. Nothing better than a dealer like that.

Hi buck1974

There are others on this forum who have experienced a similar problem with their Kubota TLB's - including me. Those levers can shift during use as happened to me. My L45 worked fine for a while and then one day I had no swing power at all. My dealer suggested I try the levers and that was the problem so now I check both of them on a regular basis.

Regards,

Lauren

I had the exact same problem, as have others. Make sure the rods/levers/valves are fully in or out, for the backhoe or 3pt positions. If the valve is a bit off you get leakage and lose power in the swing (or potentially the hoe arms although no one has reported that). However, you would probably have to have the valve fully in the wrong position to cause damage - in that case, yes it could destroy the pump, but this should not happen with the valve just being a bit off, causing leakage.
