Tried before to get an option for the M59 front grill armor, a bonnet cover. Was told by local dealer they were no longer available.
Thanks to a knowledgeable TBN contributor (rScotty) tried again thru Messicks. They had one, maybe the last one, at one of their stores. $230 +$30 shipping. It came missing some hinges hardware. While waiting on OEM parts improvised installation

Like the added protection. The newer tractors are delicate in the wrong places. Do lots of tree and brush work. Added benefit of a nice tool tray when open while servicing the tractor. Did a little bush hogging and limb clearing. Doesn’t bounce, rattle or hurt line of sight using the FEL. Should help with spillage when loading dirt. L

Messicks sent the missing hardware. Had a good experience buying from these fine folks.

Is the push bar and wire mesh included or did you add that? At first I thought it was an incredible value and then after about the 3rd time I looked at it I realized it was probably just the top part.

Only thing missing is the faded orange paint. Both my M's have faded to Mary Kay pink.......

Just the top hinged section is the bonnet cover.

The grill is custom reinforced with 100# of steel mesh, tubing and plate.

Grappling trees is challenging work. Working on a hydraulic pole chainsaw for the FEL so the added protection will help.

Nice looking grapple, what brand is it?

Have you used it for pushing out trees by the roots? Ive got a root rake grapple currently but Im thinking your style of grapple is more suitable for handling brush and multiple logs. Im just a little concerned that Id be overloading the bucket cylinders ripping our bigger stuff I.e. 6 inch trees by the roots.

I honestly doubt that there is any retail business in the USA that is more customer orientated than Messick's.
In my opinion, they are THE BEST!

Don’t remember the manufacture name of the grapple that was over twenty years ago. There wasn’t much of a choice back then. Made for a skidsteer, T1 steel and cost $2K. Like the long bottom. 6” tree piece of cake. I deal with some big trees.

Have EA wicked grapple on the B26. Think I could pick up a pencil and write my name with it. If I were to replace the big grapple I would probably go with their skidsteer model for the M59.
