M59 continues to impress

After somewhat a rocky start with warranty issues with it I am really starting to like this machine.

Moving the pallets of blocks I thought was close to the max. the FEL could handle.







This 500 gallon Septic tank weighed a little over 3,000 pounds.



I did lighten the load by removing the lid first then unloaded the tank.

This seems one area where the R4s really shine, heavy loads on a concrete surface, I would think the R1s would have really rocked the load much worse.

Thanks for the compliments, I should mention that while trying to manuver a full pallet of blocks into the shop for the brick layers I had to lift them up and over other pallets of blocks. I had swung the backhoe fully to the right side to allow more room to back up. I must have crept up the sand pile a little with the left rear tire and she started going over onto the right side..

It seemed in slow motion, at first I thought my vertigo was playing tricks again on me when I realized what was happening I dropped the load of blocks hard and fast cracked the pallet but did not break any of the blocks. After regaining some composure I checked the machine out and found the left front tire only had ~30 pounds of air it adding to the problem.

Guess the moral to this, before lifting heavy be sure and check air pressure in all the tires particularly the fronts, leave the b/h centered not swung to one side and keep your load as low as possible.

Totally agree - year in, I LOVE the M59.

I had the tires foamed, which is great for ballast down low. Makes it heavier to trailer it though.

After two years mine seems to work fine too. No problems, no warranty issues. Just start it up and it goes to work.

It's not a perfect machine....my standards are pretty high in that ballpark. But everything on the M59 does work perfectly....and no differently after years of hard work than when it was brand new.

Changes I'd like to see are mostly convenience things. It would be handy to have a syncroshift option between the hydrostat ranges - though they do have a hi/low powershift in each range which is a brilliant touch. For some inexplicable reason the parking brake is on the wrong side - that must have been an accidental afterthought and I expect they will fix it on the next model group. And Kubota really does need to push the exhaust up and outboard instead of pointing it directly at the front wheel where it blows back on the operator....but that is a problem many have noted and on other of their models too.
