M59 Thumb Power

The 59 continues to impress me with it's hydro thumb power. In this pic I'm pinch lifting a large 12" thick boulder. I've been dying to move this one for over a year. It should make a nice bench seat in my garden!

That looks handier than armholes in a vest! It's amazing what hydraulic power can do with some weight behind it. I would love to have that power on my land at times.

yeah, I've moved a lot of big rocks and trees. Its simple awesome.

Here's a river rock so smooth that the thumb couldn't find a purchase to pinch it. After raking it out of the stream, it was positioned across the bucket and the thumb was used to stabilize things while we took the prize home.

The strength of the M59 backhoe and thumb is astonishing. The hoe didn't strain at this task at all. In fact, it handled it about like a normal bucket of dirt.

BTW, I just went out and measured this stone. It is fine grain grey granite, and by measurement and using average density it came out at 1200 to 1300 lbs....give or take a bit. There's some guess work there, but I think it is fair to say that rock would be over a thousand and less than fourteen hundred lbs.
