Need advice on purchasing the appropriate skid steer. I'm looking for a good 'starter' skid steer. It will be primarily used to move dirt and drag logs on a 6 acre wooded piece of property in NH.

I've found a M620 Bobcat with the Wisconsin gas engine for sale for $3,750.

Questions; is this skid steer easy to maintain? What is the recommended bucket capacity (Bobcat specs say 500 lbs but want hear from real users.) Is this a reasonable price?

Thanks in advance. Looking forward to your feedback.

620 was the little brother to Bobcat's 720. Same sized machine but built as a lighter duty machine. Capacity is 1000 lbs. $3750 is priced about right if machine is in good shape.

I bought the Bobcat and it runs great. There is a slight transmission leak which I need to fix. Any suggestions on whether the transmission additives to stop leaks is a good idea.

Also, there is no dip stick for the oil. What's the most reliable way to check the oil level?

I'm a rookie owning a skid steer so bear with me if the questions seem basic.
