Helping a friend with some mowing with his tractor and a batwing mower. Was running ok. When I tried to start it up again the whole panel was dead - no lights, gauges, no clicks, nothing. I found a loose battery terminal and tightened it. Still nothing. They jumped the starter contactor and it cranked but no fire. The injector solenoid (?) above the throttle plate has 2 wires, one larger, one smaller. Jumping 12V to the large wire causes the solenoid to buzz. Jumping 12V to the small wire turned on the dash lights. Looked for a schematic on line but didn't have much luck. The wiring diagram I found just showed the wiring harneses and how they routed around the frame. Tried to find the fuse block but didn't find it either. Found some info on where it is so will look again when I get back to the tractor.
I thought it might be an interlock such as transmission but I don't think that would kill the instrument panel. Any suggestions to troubleshoot or where to find a schematic?
