The heater in the cab is blowing cold air. Checking further into it seems that the actuator that turns the coolant valve to open is not operating. Messicks parts site show it as a 400 dollar item but believe it is for the assembly including the water valve. Will call them on Monday to check on that. See attached pic of the actuator located under the seat. I disconnected the the arm from the actuator and turned it manually as seen in the picture and it works. But taking the seat off to turn it off is needed however it should be good to go for the winter at least.
Would be helpful if someone that has repaired this could share some details of the fix?

I'd tie it open and put a valve near the engine. I remember as a kid all the school buses were that way. You can do what you want. I'm tired of high dollar parts.

I had the oppo problem; no cold air when AC or fan on. Only hot air. I believe the valve stuck open.
The M has climate controls under the seat also so I cut a section of the heater hose out and installed a ball valve to turn off [or on] the heat.
There is an access panel held on by 2 bolts that lets me get to valve without removing the seat.

Before I spend $400 for a Kubota heater coolant control valve I'll install a manual shut-off valve in heater hose to control coolant flow through heater core. Down here where I live a heater in a tractor cab is rarely needed. On normal Winter day with sun shining AC operating will be required

Thank you for the comments. Agree spending 400 dollars for a fix does not make any sense. Thinking about just cutting an access hole in the sheet metal and turn the lever manually on the heater valve when needed or alternatively adapt a cable to operate the valve like on a choke for a carb. Or as suggested leave it open and install a valve near the engine to control the flow to the heater

M7040, let me know what you find out. My M126x has been acting up lately. Sometimes I get heat, sometimes I don’t. Not the most comforting feeling going into snowplowing season….

Bet it's the water valve that needs adjusting, unless the heater core is plugged with chaff.

I see even though Kubota moved the works under the seat (mine are under the roof panel,) they still use the same water valve. Tin to wire it wide open and install a ball valve in the line.
