Anyone use draft control on M7060 or similar?

I didn't find it did anything while moldboard plowing. Other draft control tractors I've plowed with the draft lever could be used to raise and lower the plow.

I moved the lockout on the back by the top link as per the book.
I tried both the levers in various combinations as per the book, only the position control lever moved the plow.

On mine, different tractor, the draft control won't raise or lower the 3 pt either. Essentially, it just limits how deep the plow goes before it commands the valve to raise.

The further back the draft lever is, the shallower the plow goes and vice versa.

PTSG is right about how draft control functions of course. I wonder of you misread the directions and may have disabled the Draft Control rather than enabling it? I assume the 7060 uses top link sensing (and am too lazy to look it up.) The tractor's internal hydraulic system has to sense when the plow is trying to go deeper and pulls it up to counteract that. Then senses when the plow is being held up too high and cuts off lift to cause the plow to lower -- the idea being to get constant plowing depth. So the Draft control depends on sensing top link force in order to do that. If you disconnected the sensing link that would defeat it. The Draft Control lever is intended to give you control over how deep you are plowing (as the name implies -- draft being depth) and not to raise or lower the implement. The position control lever will/should at all times let you raise or lower the 3pt. If the draft control lever does happen to raise or lower the implement that is secondary to the intended function and just confuses many people. You probably already knew that -- just wondering if you misread the directions.

I had the "lock out" in both settings, no difference, it is top link sensing, as was the draft control on other non Kubota tractors I've plowed with.
Kubota might work different, but I normally just use position control since I plow sod and like it uniform.

Sounds like that is how the Kubota one might work. One MF model for example you left the position control lever all the way up, raised and lowered the plow with the draft lever, stopping the draft lever where you wanted the plow down to, it then would react automatically.

Which hole on 3pt centerlink attaching bracket did you utilize to attach 3pt centerlink? Lowest hole was designed to be the most sensitive draft control attachment hole. I've never attempted utilizing draft control on my M7040 but operators manual discusses centerlink attachment for better draft control.

Using hole 2, which is what the book says to use for "heavy soil" on the chart on the book. (I am clay soil)

I might try hole 3 and see if it makes a difference. Ground frozen up now so be the spring before I get back to it.
