M7060 front window cab busted out

I was out of town this weekend and I got a text this morning from the shop where I store my equipment. The front window has been busted out and didn't see any rocks or anything inside of the cab. No clue what happen. I wasn't very happy about it. Just glad I have Insurance on it.

How long has it been parked in the very same spot ? I had that happen to a car once that had been stored all summer with the windows up tight and the rear window facing the sun.

Sorry to hear. That sucks. I know it wasn't parked there long, you just got it. Probably some miscreant with a pellet rifle if you can't find any other cause. Is there grass nearby that was recently mowed? I see contractors mow with their guards up all the time. Had one hit a rock that threw it up against a metal building which made a **** of a bang.

Do you have KTAC? Still a $250 deductible out of pocket.

You may want to consider paying for it out of pocket and don’t claim it. Use you accident forgiveness or whatever program you have for a more serious time. If you close am this, you will more than likely pay 4 time what you would have with cash up front.

It was parked at the shop for about 24 hours. no grass has been cut in the area and I am thinking a kid with pellet rifle. I just can't find anything else. I did call KTAC this morning and filed a claim and I had the dealer order the parts first thing this morning.

I understand the out of pocket part and use the INS for bigger items but I had to claim it this time. hope I never have to file a claim again with them. First time having to file with them in 4 years.

That's a real shame. While in Alaska - the owner of a construction company, myself and another worker caught two teenage boys going thru his equipment lot. Busting out windows and knifing tires. About 115K worth of damage. They were prosecuted and court ordered the parents to pay for court costs and all damages to all equipment.

This prosecution and court ordered payment sent a very strong ripple thru the community.

You do see the cab light knocked down at the point of impact
