Hi all, thought I'd post a few pics of the machinery shed my neighbor Ray and I have been working on. The entire structure to this point is built from resawn old timbers and beams that Ray had left from building his barn 10 yrs ago. Almost finished with the strapping for the metal roof, which is going to be delivered next Tuesday. This all started out as just a small overhang off the back of the existing shed, but as you can see, things rapidly got out of hand......I'll post some pics when the roof arrives, Rick

What is that 2x12 rafters on 16" centers or less. Should be plenty strong. Shed looks larger than the attached "main" structure.

by the way, what is that piece of equipment in the first photo.

Hey Gary, We were concerned with the lack of pitch so we went tight with the rafters, and the machine in the first pic is the bed of the sawmill.

Hey Kenny, ironically the only piece of equipment that won't be gong in the shed is the sawmill......that will be another project. We are hoping to get our Ford 1900 FEL, a Case 648, 2 Gravelys, a Rotavator, a 3 pt. backhoe, chipper, and snow blower, a log splitter, and whatever else we can get in there without crowding too much.....Let me tell you I am looking forward to a winter with NO TARPS!.....Rick
