Made a rain/snow poncho..

I found out the 18' Rider truck body I had here at the shop is about 6" shy of letting my 1070 inside, so I can't take it home .. the garage: same deal/worse. It's supposed to perhaps dump on us in 48hrs, so I had to make a quickie.

I have a load of Green Sunbrella canvas, but this has an extra layer of urethane on the underside which makes it even that much more waterproof. I will probably add a ridge pole from the steering wheel to the top of the seat, but this will at least let me work in a dryish area over the weekend.

I tweaked this with an aluminum ridge pole within a sleeve on the inside. It will make a Dbl Diamond ski run - when/if we get snow.

In also have a firm memory of a cold butt last winter in a vinyl seat. Like bits of steel -you will weld someday- I keep chunks of fabric.

This fleece was last used as a dog bed. Prior, a seat cover in a BMW 2002 in the late 70's?! Clear grain planks and bits of stainless are always useful - someday.

I can envision that fleece being wet instead of warm. Make sure to take in in the house and bring it out when you need it. Looks good.

mfruend: The only time it gets wet is when I get off the tractor and forget to tilt the seat forward. Sheepskin is also cool because you can wash it. This 20+yr old piece has been washed many times.

I got to use my cover in ernest in the last couple of days.

I still get snow on the foot wells, but the important stuff if clean.
