Made my first $100 using the tractor..wooohooo!!!

I can't get myself to cash this check, made out to my newly formed S corp!!! It was a simple job, just plow the driveway of a home. Her driveway is rather long and I also did the sidewalk around her house. We live in the boonies so her house sits about 300yds from the main road and it's a dirt driveway. The nice lady asked me what I charged, I said I don't know since I've never done this for money! Since her house is about a mile from my house, it took me a while just to get to her house. The home owner and her tenants were super appreciative and I felt like a hero!! It took me about 2.5, including travel time so not a bad payday for Sunday afternoon.

You could always cash the cheque and ask this customer for it once it's been returned to her. (Is that how cheques work nowadays? It's been so long since I've used a chequeing account)

Or, take a picture of the cheque and mount that.

Question : why did you use an S Corp instead of an LLC?

Was this the Christmas snow or the smaller snows after it? I pushed about 24" snow on two driveways for $600 in Alto NM right after Christmas with my garden tractor. Later when I found out the snow plow for our area was down I cleared about 5 miles of roads and streets so the neighbors could get out. Have received several small gifts from neighbors and came home Monday afternoon to find a case of beer at my gate. Lots of old timers around me who might need an ambulance ride so I felt compelled to help them out. I used my 4520 cab tractor for the street work so much more pleasant to work in.

Run it through a color copier and frame the copy. No one will know the difference.

I think it was the Xmas snow, a huge dump. By the time I got to the driveway, the snow was hard packed and a complete ice rink! To make it worse, the driveway goes downhill to the house from the main road so none of them could drive out of their house!

S corp is for my primary consulting business, the tractor is a secondary source of income.
