magnet grapple attachment build

I found myself building grapple attachment so drivers can quickly grab this magnet and load steel. 1st photo is the magnet. Someone told be it cost 18K.... It has batteries in it so the drivers can simply grab the remote and can use it with his trucks grapple. The top of the mag has the unpainted base I'm working on. The pin holding it on is 1 and 1/8" diameter.

Next shot shows most of the device. The round plate is 5/8th thick and can grabbed by the 4 sided grapple.

Bottom photos show one of these grapple. I'll post more later.

This mag setup went to work today loading steel while I was inside working on the next repairs. The operator came back and found me just to say it worked had like a dream. I told him he needed to tell me so i could get some photos of it working. Should be able to get some shortly.

Here is some pics taken on Friday. In the lowest photo, the grapple on the right is suppose to be using the magnet but the owner decided it worked on the telehandler as well. The light on the magnet indicates its activated.

Chain is shackled to a forged lifting eye? Nice design and great that it's not limited to one machine, esp with a tele-handler in the yard.
