Would like to add towing lights to my mowers when roading.
John Deere wants $469 for their light kit. Looks great, but $469???

Found these: White Oliver Magnetic Light Kit 39' 7 Pin Plug & Case | eBay

Anyone find any other types that have a built in 7 pin plug that fits right into tractor outlet and a one piece harness?

I don't want to mess with homemade, however if there was a 7 pin tractor connector to 4 pin flat adapter, there are lots of alternatives on *bay. I know there's 7 pin spade to 4 pin flat, but haven't seen a 7 pin tractor type to 4 pin flat, yet.

These Harbor Freight magnetic lights are decent, especially for the price . They have a 4 pin connector.

For the difference in price, have an electrical shop wire you up an adapter.

Yeah the HF ones are ridiculously cheap, was gonna get a set just for the rare time I tow my log splitter on the road. I wonder if they are even decent though, I bought some aux lights and they were such junk I brought them back. I did look at the mag ones and they looked fairly solid for HF.

Not sure what a 7 pin tractor type electric connector is, but I have the regular 7 pin round tow connector and I have an adaptor to the 4 flat.

I have a set that I have honestly never used. Looking at them, they are well worth the $9 just for the wiring harness.

Rumor has it that the 7 pin round connector on your tractor is the same as on a semi... YMMV, but it sounds like a semi plug, a 4 pin flat plug and a $10 set of HF stick on lights would get you going.

Looks like a smaller diameter, but heavier built 7 pin plug. The male ends are round pins rather than flat spades.
I have one built into the cab on my M7040.
You use it to hook up electric on farm wagons and other large attachments towed down the road. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?VISuperSize&item=360370448344

Got it, so you just need a male end for that socket and a short jumper wire to the 4 flat and you made your own adaptor.

So those are just tailights? Not stop or turn?
