I am look for a motor for my Mahendra 3016
3 cylinder, 28hp, 1.3L, Mitsubishi.

The motor is locked up.

Sorry, I can’t help you find a replacement motor, but I’m sure curious as to how it happened.

Someone borrowed it and didn't check the oil.

Have you checked on how much it would cost to rebuild what you have..?? Unless it destroyed the block, a new crankshaft, bearings, pistons & rings may get you back in business. At least you will know what you have.

Yes, it will cost 16-18 Thousand dollars for the block, crank, pistons etc. also labor, almost what I paid for it back in 2014.
I may have found a motor on e-bay for 5,000-6,000. I need to make sure the trans will fit.

So, it threw a rod out through the side of the block rendering it useless..?? Normally if ran out of oil, you may spin a bearing. And unless there has been catastrophic damage to the block, the crank can be turned down to clean them up, and new bearings to fit.

Just started to tear it down...
The valves in the first cylinder one open, one closed. The second cylinder both valves are open. Third cylinder one open, one closed.
I am not sure if both valves on the second cylinder should be open.
The motor is not at top dead center. (its locked up)
Taking stuff off to eventually pull the motor out.

UPDATE

3 Flywheel bolts backed out into the clutch plate and would not let the motor turn.
Screwed the bolts back in and now the motor turns with a wrench. (will sent pic's later.)

I am wondering how to get the motor back in time.
Everything was fine until the only gear with no key way fell out. everything else is in the same position.

How much work did the person that borrowed it do? Did you have an oil leak or oil consumption problem before lending it out? Did you check the oil and water before lending it out?

There are a number of tractor junkyards across the country. At least I'd expect there would be.

They are supposed to ship parts. At least it is worth a try to hunt down the junkyards and give them a call.
