Tractor
looking to buy
Just purchased a new max 24 tractor!

Trying to decide on a snow blower for front or back! If I use the back blower the FEL stays however you have to keep turning you head around! If I go with the front blower much easier to use however will loss the FEL!

Looking for feedback on both blowers. Given the front blower is also $1000.00 more I am kinda of leaning towards the rear blower. IS it hard on the neck using the rear blower?

Well I've used rear 3ph for last 8 yrs. Last winter was brutal on my neck after 2-3 hrs.. I guess that depends on age of said neck.
Just ordered new CK2510 cab with front mount blower.
I if you do a lot of loader work in winter maybe rear is better for you, if you only used loader for snow in the past then front mount maybe better. I'm looking forward to looking forward(pun intended) and anticipate it should cut my time on most drives I do in half.
Look for you tube post on swapping front mount and loader on a Max 26 or 28 , he shows how to do it and takes only 10 - 15 min.
Where the heck are you getting a front mount for $1000 more than a rear? My 60" rear was $1900 8 yrs ago, the new front mount is $5995 installed. ??

This was a verbal quote! Having read this I suspect it will be more when I get serious about it! Thanks for the info!

I don't know how old you are, but I can tell you that the older you get, the harder it is to turn backwards. I have had a front mount blower for 9 years and wouldn't even think of any other type. I can change from blower to FEL in 15 minutes--no tools.
p.S. What part of Newfoundland are you in? I was stationed in Stephanville during the Cold war.
