First I'd like to wish all of you a Merry Christmas. I know, not politically correct, but then neither am I.
Second:
I'm making a set of pallet forks for my 250 FEL bucket. I dont know if that is the standard bucket or not, but it measures 72" inside. The forks will hang off of 3 hooks mounted and a 1 1/2" bar on the top cross brace and the bottom portion rest against the cutting edge hanging about 3-4" bellow the bottom edge. Very similar(if not the same method) to the bucket forks sold by budgetforklift.com.
Since my tractor is a 100 mi. away, and my son forgot to get the measurements when he last visited our cabin where the tractor is, I need the distance from the front edge of the top cross brace to the front edge of the bucket's cutting edge. The front open space from top to bottom. I need to know how tall the fork's uprights needs to be. If you have the same FEL and bucket and could give me that distance, it would save me a 200 mile trip. I have lot of trees and branches to clean up this spring after the recent storm and this fork assembly will do for what I want to do.
